Chronic fatigue syndrome, or CFS, is a complex and debilitating disorder characterized by profound fatigue that is not improved by bed rest and that may be worsened by physical or mental activity. Most clients also report various non-specific symptoms, including weakness, muscle pain, impaired memory and/or mental concentration, insomnia and post-activity fatigue lasting more than 24 hours.
CFS affects each individual differently. A number of illnesses have been described that have similar symptoms to CFS, including fibromyalgia, myalgic encephalomyelitis, neurasthenia, multiple chemical sensitivities and chronic mononucleosis. Although these illnesses may present with a primary symptom other than fatigue, chronic fatigue is commonly associated with all of them. There are many treatable illnesses that can result in fatigue, some of them life-threatening. Therefore, it is necessary to have received a thorough evaluation by your physician to rule out these conditions prior to using any adjunctive therapy. This hypnotherapy program has been shown to provide symptom relief from the major CFS symptoms, helping the client function and return to a more normal lifestyle. Get back to the old you!
